It looks like it is gearing up for another splendid day here in Jersey… I decided to lounge in bed for a bit this morning, dusted and vacuumed the upper level; then showered before heading down stairs… Snipped some herbs from my garden then... hit the kitchen. Immediately set about grinding coffee beans for a much needed cup of joe. While it was brewing I rummaged around in the refrigerator to see what I could uncover. Ultimately, found enough provisions to prepare myself a brunch; a Mushroom, Tomato & Parmesan Herb Omelet, a Medley of Fresh Berries, Whole Wheat Toast.
Feeling happy with the outcome, I know this is a perfect day to enjoy my meal out on the veranda. Sitting amidst my little garden of ferns and flowers, reveling in the peace and solitude of my home, I know that life is good…
In reality, I am just procrastinating. I have a project inside my happy home to complete which involves going up on that 8 foot ladder again. Ugh. I love my DIY projects, but much prefer those that keep both my feet on the ground!!! Well, heading back in to fill up my extra-large “crazy cat lady” mug and will work on mustering up my courage to tackle the hanging of a chandelier from the cathedral ceiling in my living room… Happy Sunday wishes to all…
